This year’s Party on the Plaza artists and musicians include:

Shakey Graves: Born Alejandro Rose-Garcia, Shakey Graves, an Austin native, has created thrilling musical adventures tailored to each fan: burning CDs and putting them in personalized decorated bags; building intricate scavenger hunts that send fans in search of unique tapes; and Bandcamp—exclusive releases. Rose-Garcia engages fans in an interactive quest for his music that is exciting and remarkably entertaining.  He says he’s always been on a quest “to make people feel like my own music is a choose your own adventure.”  His music along with the creative journeys to get to it have become fan favorites.

Micah Edwards: Known as Mr. Texas Soul, Micah Edwards blends butter and twang, with a sultry steel sound.  Leaning into nostalgia, while embracing the unexpected fusion of classic, country, vintage R&B, rockabilly, and Tejano, Edwards has carved out a space that is entirely his own. Born to a Black father and white mother, he has always lived between worlds, and his music reflects that duality. More than a musician, Edwards is a storyteller, able to bridge the past and present, classic and contemporary.  After amassing more than a million monthly listeners on Spotify, he has proven his ability to resonate across generations and cultures.

Galactic Featuring Jelly Joseph: As the cornerstone of New Orleans’ dynamic music landscape, this funk band is steeped in the unique sounds of their city. Musically adventurous, Galactic fuses funk, jazz, rock and soul into powerful songs that honor tradition and innovation.

Bayou City Funk: This group of veteran Gulf Coast musicians delivers a high-energy performance of root funk, soul, blues and jazz fusion. Bayou City Funk showcases original music and covers, featuring a tight three-piece horn section. The group is on a mission to bring nitty-gritty funk to music lovers of all ages.  A staple of the Houston music scene, this powerhouse ensemble wants to bring deep grooves and sounds that everyone can embrace.

St. Paul & The Broken Bones: A powerful soul ensemble from Alabama is known for their electrifying live shows and impassioned vocals. Their recent self-titled sixth album marks a creative renewal, melding the band’s adventurous spirit with a return to soulful, song-focused roots. Tracks like “Sushi and Coca-Cola” and “Going Back” reflect both personal introspection and the band’s deepened identity after a decade of evolution. St. Paul & The Broken Bones have shared stages with The Rolling Stones, Lizzo, and Black Pumas, performing at major festivals like Coachella, Glastonbury, and Lollapalooza as they continue captivating audiences around the world.

Rodell Duff: Born in Trinidad & Tobago and raised in Houston, Rodell Duff’s sound is considered by many to bring a breath of fresh air to modern country music. Self-taught and soul-driven, his sound is as organic as his journey. Blending the grit of Chris Stapleton with the warmth of Brett Eldredge and the laid-back edge of Nickelback, Duff’s music is rooted in raw honesty. His breakout single “Wrecked” earned millions of streams and a loyal fanbase when it landed on Spotify’s Hot Country playlist; however, the devoted father remains grounded focusing on his family, his craft and his fans.
