Best Regards, the Newest Cocktail Bar and Lounge in Houston Heights, Offers Menu Rooted in Balance and Wellness
Best Regards Redefines Indulgence with Low-Cal, Macro-Friendly Menus for Wellness-Minded Nightlife Crowd
Texas’ only bar and lounge blending health, balance, and celebration unveils new low-calorie food and cocktail offerings
Best Regards, the Heights-based cocktail lounge known for pairing elevated nightlife with mindful indulgence, has launched an all-new lineup of low-calorie cocktails and macro-friendly dishes—cementing its place as the only bar and lounge in Texas fully embracing wellness without compromise.

“At Best Regards, our mantra has always been work hard, play smart,” said owner Morgan Hansen. “We all push hard in our day-to-day lives and deserve to indulge without everything we’ve built during the week. That’s exactly what this menu is about. We treat it like a balance sheet—there are Deductions and there are Write-Offs. Deductions are our macro-friendly plates for guests who want to enjoy a night out and still feel on track. Write-Offs are the indulgences that are unapologetically worth it. Controlled cravings, elevated.”

A Culinary Collaboration Backed by Houston Texans’ Experts
The new menus were created in partnership with former Houston Texans Jacob Mertens and private chef Andre Nieves, bringing performance-driven nutrition and culinary expertise into Houston’s social dining scene.
The Deductions section highlights macro-friendly plates like Empanadas (313 calories, 26g protein each), Shrimp Campechana packed with fresh seafood and vegetables, and the Carne Asada Fried Rice made with filet mignon, jasmine rice, and 42g protein. Guests looking to indulge can turn to Write-Offs like Birria Crunchwrap Supremes, Braised Short Rib Sliders with caramelized onions and gruyere, and Savory Churros with a trio of dipping sauces.

Elevated Cocktails, Reinvented for the Modern Wellness Movement
Best Regards’ new cocktail list is designed for the mindful drinker—those who want to toast, taste, and still feel good the next day. Options include the Frozen Assets (Blue Weber agave, dragon fruit, and raspberry monk fruit, 116 calories) and the Paloma Payoff (Casa Del Sol tequila, blood orange liqueur, lime, Topo Chico, 105 calories).
The menu also includes Skinny Cocktails and Zero-Proof options for guests choosing to moderate or abstain. “Guests might be ordering fewer drinks, but they’re being more selective,” said Hansen. “They’re choosing a crafted cocktail over a round of shots—or a nicer bottle of wine to share. We’ve seen a huge response to our Skinny Cocktail menu and our mocktails. People want options that feel elevated, whether that’s lower-calorie or zero-proof, and that’s exactly what we’re giving them.”
Hansen also notes broader shifts in the dining landscape: “People are more intentional now. They’ll still order oysters, fries, and champagne towers, but they’ll balance it out with something lighter or macro-friendly. It’s less about overdoing it and more about curating the night so it feels good the next day, too.”
She adds that new trends like GLP-1 use have influenced this evolution. “Some guests are eating less overall or having one cocktail instead of three. But they still want the experience—the music, the vibe, the food and drinks that feel special. That’s why having both Deductions and Write-Offs makes sense: even if you’re eating less, you want every bite or sip to feel worth it.”
