Shark Tank’s CUPBOP Brings Korean BBQ in a Cup in Two New Houston Locations

Cupbop, the fastest-growing Korean restaurant concept in the U.S., announced the grand openings of their first Houston locations this Fall.

The new restaurants will bring Cupbop’s signature Korean BBQ in a cup to the community. The Pasadena location (5116 Fairmont Parkway, 77505) has a scheduled Grand Opening date of November 14, 2025. The Northwest Houston location (12620 FM 1960 Rd. W., Suite C-4, 77065) is scheduled to open in mid-December 2025.

Founded by Junghun “Jung” Song, Cupbop began as a single food truck in Utah after Jung noticed a lack of Korean cuisine representation at a U.S. food conference. Determined to introduce Korean flavors and culture in an accessible way, Jung created Korean BBQ in a cup—fast, portable, and fully customizable. The brand has since grown into one of the fastest-growing Korean restaurant brands in America, with hundreds of locations worldwide. Cupbop gained national recognition when Jung and co-founder Dok Kwon appeared on Shark Tank, securing a deal with Mark Cuban that helped fuel its rapid expansion.

“Houston is one of the fastest growing and most diverse food cities in the U.S., and we’re excited to bring a fresh take on Korean BBQ to the community,” said Karim Haji, CEO/COO of Grafton Way Restaurant Group, which operates the Cupbop Houston locations. “We want everyone who walks through our doors to experience the energy and joy that Cupbop brings, whether they’re trying Korean food for the first time or coming back for a favorite bowl.”

Guests create their own “cup of wow” with rice, noodles, cabbage, protein or veggie options, and sauces ranging from sweet to fiery. Popular dishes include Rock Bop (crispy Korean fried chicken), B Bop (savory bulgogi beef), and Piggy Bop (Korean-style pork). Gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options ensure an inclusive experience for all.

Cupbop’s Houston locations will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. For more information on Cupbop, visit www.cupbop.com or follow @cup on Instagram, FaceBook and TikTok.
