WHAT TO DO:

Avenida Houston: Horizon, A New Interactive Art Installation–Horizon is an egg-shaped dome inspiring visitors to ignite their imagination as they gently rock the chair inside the interactive structure to activate a unique blend of light and sound. Horizon was created by artist, Olivier Landreville in collaboration with Serge Maheu, a sound and light designer. Houston First Corporation (HFC) is again partnering with Creos and Init, both internationally renowned companies to bring world-class interactive installations to public spaces. City Place: Spend 4th of July celebrating at City Place’s inaugural Stars Over City Place. Beginning at 7 p.m., the free community celebration will feature live music, family-friendly activities, lawn games, local food and beverage offerings, and a spectacular choreographed drone show at 9:15 p.m. honoring America’s 250th anniversary.
The Finn: Celebrate America’s 250th birthday at The Finn’s Fourth of July Cookout Patio Party from 3–6 p.m.

Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe | Houston: The fun starts Friday, July 3, with the “Happy Birthday, America Party” — a lakeside evening of live music and patriotic festivities. The Montgomery County Jazz Connection performs “Stars, Stripes, and Swing” at 8 p.m. At 9:45 p.m., a star-spangled fireworks display lights up the sky over Lake Conroe from outside the Del Lago Ballroom. On Saturday, July 4, enjoy a “swim-up soccer” pool party. A DJ will serve as host between games, contests, and pool activities throughout the day. Liberty & Lux: with Lucille’s 1913 Community Kitchen and FORME on July 4 at 6 p.m.: Liberty & Lux is the official fundraising launch for a major public art initiative benefiting Street Art for Mankind; the mural project, which will transform both walls of FORME’s parking structure into a towering work of public art that will serve as a prominent neighborhood landmark. Ticket tiers include $125 entry-level tickets and $250 for donors, $1,000 encouraged-level tickets, $2,500 name and/or logo recognition tickets, and $5,000 VIP-level tickets. A portion of each ticket is tax-deductible with tax-deductible amounts ranging from $125 to $4,875 depending on the ticket level.
POST: Start the morning by exploring hundreds of classic, exotic and American-made vehicles at the special Fourth of July edition of Coffee & Cars, then head to the rooftop Skylawn for a patriotic America250 Foam Party featuring foam cannons, music and summer fun for all ages. Cap off the holiday with a free live performance by Rapture on the lawn.

Brennan’s: Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with an All-American Bluegrass Brunch at Brennan’s on Saturday, July 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The family-friendly celebration will feature live music from a roaming bluegrass band, festive drink specials, and a brunch menu featuring classic American favorites. Brunch seating begins at 11 a.m., with the last guaranteed seating at 2 p.m. Additional reservation times may be added based on demand. Reservations are strongly encouraged. Reservations page here.
The Chef’s Table – River Oaks: Fire up the grill with The Chef’s Table River Oaks’ chef-curated Butcher Boxes. Options include the South African Grill Box ($176), Date Night Box ($178), Chef’s Signature Box ($265) and the Wild Game Experience ($299), featuring selections such as filet mignon, pork ribeye, lamb chops and exotic game meats. Guests can also customize their boxes and add wine pairings for a personalized grilling experience.
Red, White and Blue Cocktail at Duck N Bao: Duck N Bao’s locations will be open regular hours all weekend, with a festive Fourth of July cocktail in the mix. A Dance of Fire and Ice is a half-red, half-blue cocktail made with vodka, Blue Curaçao, Cointreau, grenadine and soda water, providing a patriotic accompaniment to your dim sum feast.
