Houston Theater Week Presented by Huntington Bank Returns with Major Deals on Local Performances:
Houston Theater Week Presented by Huntington Bank returns with Buy One, Get One Free deals, August 24-30, 2026, and this year there is plenty to celebrate. Since 2022, more than 118,000 tickets have been sold during Theater Week, raising nearly $5 million for local performing arts groups.
“What started as an effort to get people back into venues for live performances after the pandemic has grown into a valuable annual sales boost for our local performing arts groups,” said Michael Heckman, President and CEO of Houston First. “Houston First continues to invest in this annual collaboration because it works—the public, the performing arts community, and our city all win.”
Audiences can choose ticket deals from nearly 400 live shows across 21 participating organizations. Houston Theater Week is the only program of its kind in the country that includes theater, music and dance performances as part of its extensive lineup of BOGO offers.
“Houston Theater Week has evolved into a highly anticipated tradition for every Houstonian to explore the world-class, wildly diverse nonprofit arts pulsing through our city every week of the year,” said Meg Booth, Board Chair of the Houston Theater District. “We’re deeply grateful for the partnership with Houston First in helping spread the word. The fifth annual Houston Theater Week, which offers exclusive discounts for performances in the 2026-2027 season, will kick off Aug. 24-30, 2026. The week-long promotion was created by Houston First Corporation in collaboration with professional performing arts organizations to raise awareness and generate excitement for Houston’s arts community.

During Houston Theater Week, audiences can take advantage of special offers on performances across the Hobby Center’s presented programming. Offerings include Beyond Broadway, which brings celebrated Broadway artists to Houston for exclusive concert engagements; Live at the Founders Club, an intimate cabaret-style series featuring acclaimed musicians and storytellers; Houston Is Inspired, a series that champions Houston-based artists and original works; and Sensory Inclusive performances that create a more welcoming performing arts experience for individuals with sensory sensitivities and their families.
