Dandelion Cafe to Compete on Good Morning America’s ‘United States of Breakfast’  Against The Breakfast Klub

Houston Chicken and Waffles Showdown Will Send One of Two Breakfast Hotspots to New York for a Chance to Win $10,000

Dandelion Cafe, a family-owned breakfast restaurant located in the heart of Bellaire, Texas, will participate on Good Morning America’s “United States of Breakfast” competition on Monday, June 26.

Dandelion’s chef JC Ricks will be up against The Breakfast Klub where the restaurants will go head to head in front of three celebrity judges on national television. Only one will win the best chicken and waffle dish. The winner of the Houston competition will move on to the next round in New York where they will compete against 3 other cities for a chance to win $10,000 and the title of best breakfast in America.

“We’re beyond excited for the opportunity to showcase our unique, scratch-made breakfast,” said chef JC Ricks, co-owner of Dandelion Cafe. “Whichever way it goes, we just can’t wait to show Houston and America what we’re made of and we’re proud to represent our city.”

The competition will be held at Saint Arnold Brewery and will air live on “GMA” during its Monday, June 26, broadcast from 6am-8am CDT on ABC.

The all-day breakfast cafe is owned by Sarah Lieberman and chef JC Ricks, and has grown to become a staple in the Bellaire community since it opened in August 2016. For more information about Dandelion Cafe, visit www.DandelionHouston.com or follow @DandelionHouston on social media.
