Budweiser, Bud Light and Silver Eagle Houston Partner with Houston Astros to Support Folds of Honor Foundation with $42,500 Donation

Silver Eagle Distributors Houston, LLC partnered with Budweiser, Bud Light and the Houston Astros to support the Folds of Honor Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides post-secondary educational scholarships for families of U.S. military personnel and first responders killed or disabled in the line of duty.

On September 16 at Daikin Park, Silver Eagle Houston, Budweiser, and Bud Light joined the Houston Astros in recognizing the Folds of Honor Foundation. During the game, the partners presented a $42,500 donation and honored scholarship recipients and their families through special scoreboard features celebrating the Foundation’s impact.

Since its founding in 2007, Folds of Honor has awarded more than 62,000 educational scholarships nationwide.

For more than a century, Budweiser, Bud Light, and their wholesalers, including Silver Eagle Houston, have proudly supported our nation’s military and first responders — a tradition that continues this year with a meaningful impact close to home.

“As a longtime supporter of our military and veterans, we are honored to once again support the Folds of Honor Foundation and its Houston-area scholarship recipients,” said Camilo Rojas III, Vice President of Marketing at Silver Eagle Houston. “We are humbled to partner with the Astros in supporting this remarkable organization and the families of heroes it serves.”

Folds of Honor is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization, rated a four-star charity by Charity Navigator and platinum on GuideStar, that provides educational scholarships to the families of military men and women who have fallen or been disabled while on active duty in the United States armed forces. Their educational scholarships support private educational tuition and tutoring for children in grades K-12, as well as higher education tuition assistance for spouses and dependents.

Founded in 2007 by Lt Col Dan Rooney, a PGA Professional and F-16 fighter pilot in the Air Force Reserves who served three tours of duty in Iraq, the Folds of Honor is proud to have awarded 62,000 scholarships in all 50 states and some US territories.
