Houston Junior Forum Hosts Fourth Annual ‘THE CITY MARKET’ on April 11-12, 2025 at POST Houston

This highly anticipated curated, The City Market, hosted by a female-led nonprofit committed to providing charitable service for children, women and senior adults in the greater Houston area, is set to take place at POST Houston on April 11-12, 2025. The event will be offering an appealing array of local vendors and a fun guilt-free shopping experience with all proceeds going to HJF’s programs and projects including Houston Junior Forum College Scholarships Program and Community Grants Program.

“Leading as the President of the Houston Junior Forum and spearheading the organization of The City Market has been truly rewarding,” said Krista Parker, President of HJF. “Witnessing the Houston community coming together in support of small businesses is not only fulfilling but also a testament to the power of unity and collaboration.”

Since its inception in 2021, The City Market has evolved into a source of empowerment for the Houston Junior Forum. The event’s dual focus on the College Scholarship Program and the Community Grants Program underscores HJF’s commitment to holistic community development. By raising funds through this event, the organization not only invests in the academic pursuits of promising individuals but also contributes to the overall well-being of the Houston community through strategic philanthropy.

This is the second year The City Market will be hosted at the POST Houston. The dynamic space at POST Houston serves as the ideal backdrop for a marketplace celebrating creativity, community and local businesses. With an impressive lineup of over 70 vendors, including A Unique Boutique by Jeanette, Margarita Mercantile, The Hive and Christina Greene, attendees will have numerous opportunities to contribute to this meaningful cause.

“We are incredibly thankful for the steadfast support and anticipation surrounding The City Market,” continued Parker. “The backing from POST Houston and our vendors has been invaluable, providing us with an extraordinary venue that adds an extra layer of excitement to the event. We are truly grateful for the chance to showcase local talent and creativity in such a dynamic setting.”

The success of The City Market would not be possible without the generosity from TCM sponsors. The collective support of all sponsors not only elevates The City Market but reinforces the vital role that businesses and individuals play in enhancing the cultural and economic fabric of the Houston community.

The City Market runs Friday, April 11 from 2pm-8pm and Saturday, April 12 from 10am-5pm. In addition to General Admission, there are several ticketed special event opportunities available to patrons.
