Houston First Corp. Rallies With Resources And Events To Support Hospitality Community

Houston, We have A NEW WAY TO HOU

To support local businesses during COVID-19, Houston First Corporation has launched several initiatives and programs including a comprehensive landing page called, A New Way To HOU, dedicated to sharing information, opportunities and collaboration.

The organization is also rolling out a #MissingHOU campaign, encouraging community engagement.

“Houston’s community-minded spirit has always been unwavering,” said Brenda Bazan, president and CEO of Houston First Corporation. “Our primary role as the city’s destination sales and marketing organization is to support our hospitality community during this challenging period and inspire future visitation. Assisting our local businesses when possible is the best way to ensure we can enjoy them once we’re on the other side of this crisis.”

#MISSINGHOU

The MissingHOU microsite features regularly updated information and thematic blog posts such as virtual tours and attractionscurbside F&B options; and ways to give back.

This weekly contest encourages Houstonians to purchase food from local restaurants and break virtual bread on a day of their choosing with friends and family over a video chat.

Each week, those who share details of their online gatherings on their social feeds using the #MissingHou hashtag will be eligible to win a $100 gift card from a Houston restaurant – perfect for organizing their next #MissingHOU Virtual Dinner Party.
