23rd Annual Keels & Wheels Event to Show Exclusive Cars and Boats on May 5, 6
Lakewood Yacht Club to host spectators and exhibitors from all over U.S. and Europe
Participation in the event is now exclusive, as only 200 cars and 100 boats are selected among thousands of entries
Each year, spectators and exhibitors from all over the US and Europe gather at the Lakewood Yacht Club to experience the competition that has established itself among the nation’s top concours events. To date, Keels & Wheels has donated over $1.7 million to partnering charities. MSN.com named Keels & Wheels as one of the top auto shows in the U.S.
This year’s event will benefit Today’s Harbor for Children, formerly known as the Boys & Girls Harbor, which seeks to provide healthy, comprehensive care for children and families in crisis.
In past years, this event has helped to fund medical research and advances and has raised awareness for the charities and causes that it supports.
This year Keels and Wheels will feature the Marques of Ferrari, Pierce-Arrow and Super Cars. Rare cars like the Ferrari Barchetta, 1924 Bentley Speedster, 1962 XKE Jaguar Roadster and the famous Hudson Commodore Custom Eight sedan from the classic movie, Driving Miss Daisy will also be at the Concours.
Keels & Wheels Concours d’Elegance is a fun event for families and people of all ages with entertainment throughout the concours, a presentation from the ReMax Skydiving team and activities like Kids Build a Boat.
The event will also raffle off a Lincoln MKC SUV from BayWay Lincoln by the support of Title Sponsor, The Jon and Jacqueline Hodges Charitable Foundation. Guests can purchase a ticket for $20 or five for $100.
Coming this year to Keels & Wheels is the 1952 Ferrari 212/225 Barchetta by Touring Superlegerra, which will be exhibited at the Concours by the Petersen Automotive Museum, Los Angeles, California. The car is the last Ferrari Barchetta (Italian for “little boat”) ever built and the last non-racing Ferrari bodied by Touring.
