The Women’s Home Announces Anat Ronen as Mural Artist for “Faces of Change: Her Story is Houston’s Story”
Installation will reflect strength, resilience, diversity, and enduring legacy of Houston’s women and spotlight up to five women
Nominations close on March 25, 2026
The Women’s Home, a Houston-based nonprofit, together with Co-Chairs Alden Clark and Doug Parker, announced that Houston artist Anat Ronen was selected to create the organization’s mural, a visionary new art fundraising initiative that will honor women whose courage, vision, and leadership have shaped Houston for generations.

Ronen is a Houston-based multidisciplinary artist who specializes in murals, street painting, and works on canvas. Her art can be found throughout the greater Houston area including public spaces like interstate highways, bridges, buildings, churches, and schools. Additionally, Ronen’s art is displayed in museums and select shows nationwide as well as India, China and Australia. Her clients include Disney, Texas Children’s Hospital, Google, Hines, United Airlines, Johnson Space Center, and many more.
“Faces of Change: Her Story is Houston’s Story” is a large-scale mural to be completed in late Spring 2026 to span an impressive 61 feet by 20 feet and stand as a permanent tribute to extraordinary women—past and present—whose contributions have helped define the cultural, civic, and social fabric of the city.

The installation will reflect the strength, resilience, diversity, and enduring legacy of Houston’s women and spotlight up to five women representing a wide range of fields, including civic leadership, education, healthcare, philanthropy, the arts, advocacy, and community building.
Once nominations close on March 25, 2026 at https://www.thewomenshome.org/mural/, the final honoree selection will be curated from nominations received from the public by the organizing committee. Mural conceptualization and execution should begin by the end of April 2026, with an anticipated unveiling celebration to be planned in May 2026.
Through the Faces of Change Mural, The Women’s Home will celebrate each woman’s individual achievements while collectively honoring the remarkable breadth of contributions that have shaped Houston’s past, enrich its present, and inform its future. In conjunction with the project, The Women’s Home will offer sponsorship opportunities, community activations, and a series of events leading up to an official unveiling celebration.
