Mardi Gras! Galveston is turning up the excitement in 2026 with its most ambitious celebration yet, unveiling a slate of all-new entertainment, expanded parades, and immersive experiences that elevate the island’s signature festival to new heights.

“From a completely refreshed music lineup and the return of high-energy electronic dance nights to a jaw-dropping Street Circus and a late-night parade debut, Mardi Gras! Galveston 2026 delivers more ways than ever for visitors to experience the magic,” said Mike Dean, Mardi Gras! Galveston organizer.
A Brand-New Music Lineup + the Return of Electric Mardi Gras
Music lovers can expect a whole new lineup of live performances across multiple stages, headlined by regional and national favorites. Returning by popular demand is Electric Mardi Gras, featuring nationally recognized DJs such as Angie Vee, who will transform Downtown Galveston into a pulsing, open-air dance party on select nights.
Texas-Sized Fun: Largest Line Dance Attempt:
Before country favorite Wade Bowen takes the stage, Mardi Gras! Galveston will attempt to make history by hosting Texas’s Largest Line Dance, inviting thousands of fans to dance together in a one-of-a-kind, Lone Star moment that blends music, community, and pure Mardi Gras fun.
NEW for 2026: Mardi Gras! Street Circus:
Step right up—Mardi Gras! Galveston debuts the Mardi Gras! Street Circus, a high-energy, Big-Top-inspired experience located at the brand-new 22nd Street Stage.
This immersive attraction features a continuous rotation of performers and spectacles, including:
- LED extravaganza performances
- Gravity-defying aerialists
- Sword masters
- And the nightly Grand Finale: a fire-breathing spectacle that ignites the street and leaves audiences in awe
The Street Circus brings nonstop movement, surprise, and visual spectacle—bridging the action between parades and concerts like never before.
More Parades, More Beads, More Nighttime Magic
Adding to the celebration, Mardi Gras! Galveston expands its parade lineup with more parades than ever, including the first double-decker float, and a brand-new late-night event:
NEW: Da Krewe du Roux’s Gumbeaux Gras Parade: Friday, February 6 at 10:00 p.m.
Newe Krewe award winner Da Krewe du Roux will roll out its inaugural parade, featuring festive floats, signature hand-decorated flip-flops, and a whole lot of personality. The krewe is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the El Mina Shriners and Ronald McDonald House of Galveston, blending celebration with community impact.
Balcony parties also get a glow-up in 2026 with enhanced décor, upgraded festive touches, and elevated viewing experiences, making them the ultimate way to soak in the parades, beads, and nonstop energy along The Strand.
