Houston Restaurants Offering Exceptional Pairing Dinners with Tequila and Wine

Join the unique dining experience celebrating Tres Agaves Tequila featuring a hand-selected tequila flight featuring Tres Agaves Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo, followed by a three-course gourmet meal perfectly paired with a cocktail or wine. This unique menu will offer a glimpse into fine dining and the artistry of fine tequila.

The evening begins with Camarones Roca, featuring tempura-fried shrimp tossed in a bold tobanjan sauce and served over fresh sliced avocados. This vibrant appetizer is paired with the Spring Zest cocktail, a refreshing mix of Tres Agaves Blanco, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, agave nectar, and fresh thyme. 

For the main course, guests will enjoy a tender Filet Mignon, served alongside a goat cheese cabbage potato cake, carrots, and asparagus, all finished with a rich red wine reduction glaze. This dish is complemented by Napa Cellars Merlot, Napa Valley 2021, which enhances its deep, savory flavors. 

The final course is Flan topped with a bourbon caramel sauce, paired with the Dulce de Agave cocktail, a smooth combination of Tres Agaves Añejo, Licor 43, espresso, caramel syrup, and mole bitters. Course three is followed by a savory shot of Tres Agaves Extra Añejo Herrera Family Private Barrel to officially end the night. Each location’s Tequila Dinner begins at 7:00 p.m. and is priced at $89 per person (plus tax and gratuity). On March 26, the restaurant is hosting an intimate dinner with acclaimed Napa Valley winemaker Steve Matthiasson. With only a handful of seats available, this is a unique opportunity for Houston’s wine lovers to experience his wines alongside a specially crafted menu.

Steve is known for his groundbreaking approach to sustainable viticulture and elegant, expressive wines that have earned him recognition as San Francisco Chronicle’s Winemaker of the Year and a James Beard Award nominee. Guests will enjoy rare, limited-production wines paired with a four-course dinner from Chef Partner Austin Waiter, who brings a personal connection to the evening after sharing meals with Steve and his wife, Jill, in Napa.

The evening will begin with Ceviche Tropical, featuring raw marinated snapper cured in Leche de Tigre, with onions, tomatoes, mango, habanero, and a touch of Tabasco. This refreshing starter is paired with Decoy Limited Brut Rosé, Méthode Champenoise from California. 

For the second course, guests will enjoy Shrimp Scampi, showcasing colossal shrimp served over angel hair pasta with julienned vegetables and a rich scampi sauce. This dish is paired with Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay, Russian River Ranches from Sonoma Coast 2023. 

For the main course, Le Filet Noir takes center stage. This exquisite dish features a black truffle demi-glace, chanterelle mushrooms, garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus. This unforgettable entree is paired with Migration Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast 2022 

The evening concludes with a decadent fourth course, Lava Chocolate Cake paired with Decoy Limited Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley 2022.
