Mardi Gras! Galveston Turns Up the Heat with a Thrilling Second Weekend of Festivities

The revelry continues as Mardi Gras! Galveston roars into its second weekend of non-stop fun with Salute to Texas – First Responders Day on Friday, February 28. As a heartfelt tribute to our everyday heroes, we’re offering free admission to veterans, active service members, and first responders (+ one guest).

Prepare for a spectacle of high-energy parades, show-stopping live performances, and dazzling entertainment, all day Saturday and end the weekend with Family Gras! on Sunday, March 2, featuring free admission for all.

  • 6:30 PM – Danny Weber Memorial Fire Truck Parade – Honoring a true legend, watch in awe as fire trucks from across the region light up the night in memory of Fire Chief Danny Weber.
  • 7:30 PM – Krewe Babalu “All Krewe” Parade – This is THE moment where all the Mardi Gras krewes come together for an electric, must-see procession through downtown Galveston!
  • 9:00 PM – Mardi Gras! Galveston Parade – Grand Marshals City Cast Houston Podcast Team will lead this vibrant nighttime celebration filled with show-stopping floats, enthusiastic marching bands, and an atmosphere that’s downright contagious!

  • 2:30 PM – Mardi Gras! Galveston Parade – This is where the magic of Mardi Gras truly shines, so get ready to catch some beads!
  • 4:00 PM – Ben E. Keith Parade – Featuring Grand Marshals Eric Berger & Matt Lanza of Space City Weather, this parade is sure to be a meteorological marvel!
  • 5:00 PM – Jumpin’ Jays Bumpin’ Bus Parade – The most epic rolling party on wheels returns! With over 20 decked-out party buses blasting music and tossing beads, this is one parade you do NOT want to miss!
  • 6:00 PM – Knights of Momus Grand Night Parade – The grandest of them all, this historic parade fills the streets with breathtaking floats, larger-than-life costumes, and an energy level that’s off the charts!

  • 3:00 PM – Firefighters Children’s Parade – Hosted by local firefighters, this parade is all about bringing the magic of Mardi Gras to the kids!
