International Entertainment Partnership (IEP) Receives Proclamation at Combined Celebration for the Houston Entertainment Initiative (HEI)
Houston Celebrity Entertainment and Arts Soiree Set for September 28 at Ballroom at Bayou City at Bayou City Place at 7 p.m.
Houston is set to launch a city-wide campaign aimed at transforming Houston into a top-tier destination for entertainment, sports, and the arts.
This effort was recognized recently by Mayor John Whitmire on August 13, 2024 at City Hall honoring the International Entertainment Partnership (IEP) with a City Proclamation and its own day in the City of Houston.
“We’re excited to lead a movement that’s shaping Houston’s cultural and entertainment landscape, workforce, and economy,” said Centrell Reed, IEP President.
Mayor Pro Tem Martha Castex-Tatum added, “Our city’s future in the entertainment industry is bright thanks to the collective efforts of the IEP driving this workforce and infrastructure campaign. It’s an honor to acknowledge their transformative contributions positioning Houston as a leading destination in this industry.”
This groundbreaking initiative brings together influential leaders from various industries and communities marking a significant step in Houston’s rise as a cultural powerhouse. The event featured a dynamic mix of celebrities, city officials, and cultural icons.
“I am proud to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the International Entertainment Partnership and Houston Entertainment Initiative,” said Council Member, Edward Pollard. “Their visionary work ensures that Houston will continue to be a leading destination for entertainment for years to come.”
