COUNTDOWN TO EAT DRINK HTX IS ON!
Menus Launch For Popular Foodie Fundraiser February 1st
The third annual Eat Drink HTX, sister event to Houston Restaurant Weeks (HRW) produced by The Cleverley Stone Foundation, is just weeks away! Beginning on February 1st, diners can visit EatDrinkHTX.com to view a partial list of participants and their menus, with additional restaurants and menus to be added through February 15th.
Diners can look forward to many new participants to this years’ line-up. The foodie fundraiser will take place February 15th through February 29th, 2024. Proceeds will benefit the Houston Food Bank and DePelchin Children’s Center, with funds going towards improving the quality of life for Texas’ children.
The two-week long Eat Drink HTX has been developed for the casual dining category, with a lower price point set for prix fixe brunch, lunch, and dinner menus, allowing more casual and fast-casual eateries the opportunity to participate in the fundraiser.
An early look at this year’s participants includes all Adair Kitchen locations, B.B. Lemon, Craft Burger, Cowboys & Indians, Dak & Bop, Harold’s Bistro & Bar, all Hughie’s Tavern & Vietnamese locations, KP’s Kitchen, Little Patagonia, Low Tide Kitchen & Bar, all Mala Sichuan Bistro locations, NoPo Café Market & Bar, Phat Eatery, Rim Tanon, Roost, Silom Station, Tom n Tom’s, Xin Chao, and new participants are Carol Kay’s, Crisp & Green, Fainmous BBQ, Kriti Kitchen, both locations of Lankford’s Grocery & Market, Maine-ly Sandwiches, Mean Grille, Mimo, Mi Tierra Mexican Kitchen, MKT Bar, Red Dessert Dive, South X Saigon, The Barking Pig, and more.
This event conceived by Cleverley Stone, boosts sales in restaurants during historically slow periods for area restaurants; specifically, weeks in February, after Valentine’s Day and early spring.
“Funds raised by Eat Drink HTX will help DePelchin Children’s Center provide guidance and support to vulnerable children and the families who care for them through life-changing programs like foster care and adoption, parenting and counseling, and residential care,” said Jennifer Jarriel, President, and CEO. “This will ensure that more children will be part of safe and loving homes. We’re thankful to The Cleverley Stone Foundation for bringing the community together for this wonderful event and for honoring DePelchin Children’s Center as a beneficiary.”
“I am proud and happy to be partnering with DePelchin Children’s Center on Eat Drink HTX for 2024,” said Katie Stone, President of the Cleverley Stone Foundation. “Since 1892 they have been a beacon of hope and love for children and the community. As a mother myself, I know how their programs and services have added to the quality of life for so many children and families.”
Similar to HRW, participating restaurants will make donations based on their sales.
“We are grateful for the support of Eat Drink HTX, along with our co-beneficiary, DePelchin Children’s Center,” said Brian Greene, President & CEO of the Houston Food Bank. “The impact of inflation has hit lower-income, working families particularly hard. Funds raised from this event will help bring food to the table and improve the wellbeing of the families that we serve.”
