John Wick Stars and AEW Wrestlers Power Up Comicpalooza’s 2022 Lineup

The Underground World of Assassins and All Elite Wrestling (AEW) Collide at Houston’s Pop-Culture Festival

Comicpalooza’s dynamic 2022 lineup continues to strengthen with new guest announcements.

The pop culture convention unveiled today that John Wick stars, Lance Reddick and Mark Dacascos, will join forces for the July 15-17 show, along with AEW World Champion ‘Hangman’ Adam Page and fellow wrestler Adam Cole who were announced last week.

With 30 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Lance Reddick is best known for his prominent role as Charon, opposite of Keanu Reeves, in the highly acclaimed John Wick franchise.

In addition to playing the concierge turned hero’s greatest ally, Reddick’s extensive career comprises of starring roles in over 100 films and television shows including General Caulfield in White House Down, Martin Hatch in Quantum Break, Papa Legba in American Horror Story, Guillermin in Godzilla vs. Kong, Matthew Abaddon in Lost, and more.

Reddick has also voiced characters in numerous shows and video games including Rick and Morty, Beware the BatmanDestiny and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Alongside Reddick is fellow John Wick castmate Mark Dacascos, who portrays the lethal assassin Zero in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. From Zero to heroes, Dacascos is known for playing both the good and bad guy in over 80 feature films and TV shows including hit CBS series, Hawaii Five-0; the haunting French film, Brotherhood of the Wolf; nemesis to Jet Li in Cradle 2 the Grave; cult classic action film, Drive; and hit television show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, among many others.

Aside from his successful career in acting and martial arts, Dacascos achieved a career milestone in 2016 by directing his first feature film titled Showdown in Manila and has hosted the hit TV-series Iron Chef.

Joining the ring of guests this year are American professional wrestlers Adam Page and Adam Cole, who are both currently signed to AEW.  “Hangman” Page is the current AEW World Champion in his first reign after defeating Kenny Omega in the main event using the Buck Shot Lariat for the pinfall victory. Cole made his AEW debut at the 2021 All Out event and is a multiple world champion, and is the longest NXT Champion of all time.

With no shortage of entertainment and oodles of fun for the entire family, Comicpalooza will offer compelling and thought-provoking programming panels covering everything from Marvel to DC, Anime to Kpop, and everything in between. Special attractions will disperse throughout the show floor to entice and amaze fans, such as crowd-favorite Full Steel Combat, where knights will participate in melee combat all weekend long.

Exhibitors from all over the nation will assemble offering some of their unique handmade goods and must-see items including onsite caricatures from Art by Jonathan, Pokémon terrariums by Enchanted Enigma Crafts, throwback 80’s and 90’s gear from Error 1984, art masterpieces from Ramos Renditions, photographs of figurines and collectibles in their natural habitat from UrbanRoxStarr, and more.
