CITIZEN HOUSTON Set to Deliver Fabulous Nightlife Experience

SEASONED HOSPITALITY GROUP PUMPING UP THE VOLUME ON BAYOU CITY NIGHTLIFE ON WASHINGTON AVENUE

Milkshake Concepts – the Dallas-based hospitality group behind such white hot concepts as Citizen Dallas, Vidorra, Harper’s, STIRR, Dirty Bones, Serious Pizza and Sky Rocket Burgers – has brought its unique brand of high-energy hospitality to Houston with the Spring launch of Citizen Houston (5922 Washington Avenue).

The 6,000-square-foot space located in the mid-century modern former home of The Classic has morphed into a sophisticated bar and glossy lounge.

Milkshake’s in-house design team has amplified the location for Houston gliterrati looking for an unparalleled VIP nightlife experience served up in a modern house-like setting characterized by moody lighting, overstuffed sofas and chic décor.

“Bringing Citizen to Houston has been a long time coming, and we can’t wait to introduce our specific brand of hospitality to nightlife aficionados in the most diverse city in the country,” emphasized Imran Sheikh, Founder & CEO of Milkshake Concepts. He added, “Citizen is all about letting loose, having fun and celebrating life in a safe haven where everyone feels welcome. We call the concept Citizen because we think of citizens as people who are at-home wherever they are and feel confident to behave as they see fit. We invite our guests to take in the vibe, revel in the experience and make the night unforgettable – whether it’s their maiden voyage or hundredth visit.”

Expect a rock solid roster of top DJs and A-list talent gracing Citizen Houston on a weekly basis when it opens initially on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 pm to 2 am.

Sunday hours debut its Sunday School, a beloved multi-venue progressive experience which starts with brunch, leads to drinks and ends the night at Citizen. Other themed offerings that draw huge crowds in Dallas will follow on Fridays and Saturdays, including When Boys Are Away, Girls Will Play; House Party Fridays; and F*ck You, Love You.

“We have regular clients in Dallas who are based in Houston who have been begging for us to come here for some time, and that time has come. We can’t wait to show Houstonians what we bring to the table, pun intended,” Sheikh concluded.
