READ MORE ABOUT THE HOUSTON APPEARANCE with Rissa Jarratt, Jenni Kayne’s Director of Stores:
How did this concept evolve with the Airstream for the brand? The Jenni Kayne Airstream Tour actually got its start back in 2017—we were launching our first home collection and wanted to find a way to bring Jenni Kayne to different cities across America. We bought a silver 1957 Airstream and renovated it to look like our stores (think beautiful oak-color walls and custom white-washed walnut storage). We’re now on our second Airstream Tour as a brand and are currently exploring markets where we have a large e-commerce following. By bringing the best of Jenni Kayne to our customers, we’re able to connect with new and existing markets in meaningful ways.
How has the response been with other shopping locations? The response has been overwhelmingly positive. We’re finding that our customers love the overall experience and enjoy the novelty of touring the Airstream and shopping our collection in person.
Why did you choose to come to the River Oaks District?
We have a huge following in Houston! In fact, this is our second time bringing the Airstream to the River Oaks District. Not only is River Oaks District beautiful, but we really feel at home here. We’re so excited to be back again—and with some exciting new products, too!
What are some favorite pieces people are always looking for?
We have this overarching ethos around curating the everyday uniform: effortless staples that take the guesswork out of getting dressed. No matter the season, our customers are always drawn to our sweaters and shoes—the Jenni Kayne “uniform” pieces. We’ve also seen a growing demand for Jenni Kayne Home. From textiles and home accessories to our hand-crafted furniture, there’s something for every space and style.
Please describe the vibe your products have: Laid-back, elevated, comfortable, and effortlessly Californian.
