Discovery Green Has Fun for Everyone in November

Love Discovery Green? Find New Events in November

On Friday, Nov. 2, Discovery Green hosts its inaugural Día de los Muertos festival, presented by Arandas Bakery. Visitors are invited to bring images of their departed loved ones to place on a custom altar by Houston artist Angel Quesada.

The event also features a procession, hands-on art activities, live music and dance performances. The festival coincides with the preview night for Art @ Discovery Green, an outdoor market featuring more than 60 fine art and contemporary craft artists.

The market continues Saturday, Nov. 3 and Sunday, Nov. 4.

FROSTIVAL:
Discovery Green’s winter season kicks off with Frostival on Friday, Nov. 16.

The event marks the opening of The ICE powered by Green Mountain Energy and GUST: Celebrating a Decade of Discovery, an interactive art installation by Mexico City-based studio Cocolab that consists of nearly 2,000 custom-made pinwheels.
