TUTS delivers The Rocky Horror Show live on stage at Zilka Hall

Get Ready to Time Warp as TUTS is set to reveal the original stage version by Richard O’Brien. This is the musical that inspired The Rocky Horror Picture Show, the iconic 1974 film. The Rocky Horror Show will be live on stage in Zilkha Hall  from November 8-20, 2016.

Audiences will get the chance to see O’Brien’s theatrical creation come to life with its rock ‘n’ roll score performed by live musicians. Interact with the actors as they breathe life into your favorite characters without the distraction of a movie screen.

Mitchell Greco, director of  TUTS’ The Rocky Horror Show, also serves as the Artistic Associate at Stages Repertory Theatre and is well known to Houston audiences for his work on shows such as Xanadu, Honky Tonk Angels and Big Fish. This production will mark Greco’s TUTS directorial debut.

Sheldon Epps, Artistic Advisor for Theatre Under The Stars, is pleased to be working with respected local arts organizations and an “amazingly” talented Houston-based creative team.

Tickets for The Rocky Horror Show range from $39.00 to $89.00. Performances on November 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17 are at 7 p.m. Weekend performances on November 11, 12, 18 and 19 are at 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. Matinees on November 13 and 20 are at 3 p.m.
