WOW Charities raise $65K for Houston Area Women’s Center at Grand Tasting event
The 2016 Women of Wine Charities Grand Tasting Event raising funds for Houston Area Women’s Center was a huge success raising $65,000 for the local non-profit and their programs.
The Grand Tasting, held on October 17 at the Decorative Center, hosted over 200 attendees. Special guests, native Houstonian and Napa Valley Winemaker, Keith Webster with his wife Chelli Warnock-Webster, joined WOW Charities for this unique event.
Also joining WOW Charities Grand Tasting were highly-rated wines paired with bites from some of Houston’s hottest chefs. Guests were also invited to participated in live and silent auctions.
Keith Webster was excited to be part of the event. “It was great to be back in Houston and to be able to share our award-winning wines with my fellow Houstonians,” he said.

The Houston Area Women’s Center (HAWC) helps individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence in their efforts to move their lives forward. They provide shelter, counseling and advocacy to support those individuals in building lives free from the effects of violence. Their services are confidential and available to everyone.
