MECA Houston–Friday, March 18, 7 p.m.: A mesmerizing performance by MECA Houston, mariachi and Ballet Folklorico.

Kayak Rides and SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding) on Kinder Lake*–Saturdays & Sundays, March 2016-June 26, 2016:  Enjoy SUP or a relaxing, guided kayak ride. No reservation required. $5 for Kayak and $10 for SUP. See website for times, camps and classes.

Bicycle Rentals from Bike Barn: March 11–20, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Conveniently rent a bike right on Buffalo Bayou! Perfect for navigating the trails along Buffalo Bayou, rentals are available by the hour, half day, and full day. Kayak and Canoe Rentals from Bayou City Adventures: March 15–20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ideal for an outing with the entire family or friends, paddlecraft rentals are available for up to two hours at a time. Bayou City Adventures has a full fleet of paddlecraft available including tandem kayaks, single kayaks, stand up paddle boards, and canoes. Monthly Volunteer Day:  March 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Houstonians, ages 9 and up, are invited to join Buffalo Bayou Partnership for community-wide volunteer days at Buffalo Bayou Park happening the third Saturday of each month. Whether volunteering as a large or small group, or individually, your efforts will keep the park green and growing! Volunteers will help with a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: trash pick-up, mulching and weed removal. We do ask that all volunteers bring their own work gloves. Food Truck Line up:  March 12–20, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Cap off your visit to Buffalo Bayou Park by indulging in savory and sweet delights from a rotating food truck line-up located at The Water Works and Wortham Foundation Grove. Also don’t miss Houston’s great museums where fun is FREE on Thursdays.
