Celebrate HTX DIWALI 2026 at POST Houston on October 24
Day-to-Night Cultural Festivities Features Rooftop Yoga, Fashion Shows, and Music Under the Stars
POST Houston, in partnership with Tx2 Dance Company, will celebrate the 2nd Annual HTX Diwali — Shine Your Light Over Houston on Saturday, October 24, 2026, beginning at 11 a.m.
Taking place across POST Houston’s Skylawn rooftop, X Atrium, and POST Market food hall, this free, all-ages festival honors Diwali — the Festival of Lights — and its themes of light over darkness, renewal, hope, and community connection. Houstonians of all backgrounds are invited to gather in festive or traditional attire for a full day of wellness, dance, art, food, and music.

Festival programming will include rooftop yoga, festive fashion, cultural performances, art experiences, food and beverage offerings, and music under the stars, creating a day-to-night celebration across POST Houston’s indoor and outdoor spaces.
“Diwali celebrates light, togetherness, and new beginnings, and POST Houston was built for exactly that kind of gathering, a place where people from every corner of our city come together,” said Meredith Powell, General Manager of POST Houston. “We’re thrilled to welcome families, friends, and neighbors back for our second annual celebration as we continue building a tradition Houstonians look forward to every year.”

The 12-hour celebration kicks off atop POST Houston’s Skylawn rooftop with a tranquil morning yoga session and sound bath led by Black Swan Yoga, inviting attendees to set an intention of renewal for the day ahead.
As the afternoon unfolds in the X Atrium, guests can explore a vibrant cultural hub featuring a curated Diwali Market with local artisans and henna artists, the House of Devi Art Gallery, a community Medical Mela, and interactive family arts-and-crafts stations hosted by Omnaments and Polka Dot Party Box.
Movement takes center stage with energetic workshops led by Tx2 Dance Company, offering lessons in Bollywood and Garba dancing, plus a high-energy Bhangra session on the rooftop hosted by Houston Bhangra Academy.
“HTX Diwali is more than a celebration. It’s a coming together of Houston,” said Sonali Patel of Tx2 Dance Company, speaking about this year’s highlighted attractions. “We’re celebrating our culture, embracing our community, and creating a space where everyone can shine their light.”
The festivities peak with a lively Diwali procession winding through POST Market, leading into a South Asian cultural fashion showcase presented by Dakshin USA.
