ECHO Orchestra presents A Night in Italy on Friday, December 27
Celebrate the Holidays in Style with Antipasti and Arias
The Energy Corridor of Houston Orchestra (ECHO Orchestra) presents a Night in Italy, a Nearly New Year’s Eve experience to celebrate the holidays in style on December 27th from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Houston West, 13210 Katy Freeway.
Guests are invited to begin the evening with Italian wine, appetizers and pastries accompanied by Italian music both classical and modern by Pianist Mary Peterson. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and feature performances by Tenor Ruben Erazo, Soprano McKenzie Garey and Flautist Katherine Rivas Fuentas.
“ECHO is thrilled to offer the community this unique evening of world class entertainment,” said ECHO Orchestra Executive Director, Sarah McDonner. “It is truly amazing that our orchestra can enjoy making music with guest artists from around the globe.”
The 60-minute program features beautiful Italian favorites including La Gazza Ladra Overture, familiar tunes from The Godfather, Carnival of Venice, Una Furtiva, O Sole Mio, Sorrento, Nessun Dorma, Siempre Libera, Intermezzo Cavalaria Rusticana, Un Bel Di, Italian Folk Festival, Bella Ciao, and concludes with the William Tell Overture.
“The music of the great Italian composers is very special to me,” said ECHO Conductor Michael Fahey. “These soaring melodies will make for a special way to finish 2023.”
