Families and friends can stop by Eloise Nichols, Los Tios, Adair Kitchen, Betsy’s at Evelyn’s Park or Skeeter’s Mesquite Grill for Sunday Brunch menus and all day $3 “MOMosas” – a celebratory play on the classic mimosa.
Arnaldo Richards’ Picos, 3601 Kirby Dr., 832.831.9940: Authentic Mexican restaurant, Picos, is offering a family-friendly Mother’s Day Buffet from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 14. The flavor-filled feast includes meat carving station with pork porchetta, prime rib and picanha, omelet and waffle stations, charcuterie options, Picos’ legendary moles and a dessert bar. As a special holiday offering, the traditional antojito platter will also feature gorditas, salbutes, tlacoyos, picadas, quesadillas. On the beverage side, Picos is offering a seasonal Fresa Spritz ($16) cocktail and a bottle of Les Jamelles Rose 2021 ($30). The all you can eat buffet is $54 for adults, $42 for seniors, $30 for children over eight years old, and free for children under eight years old.
Dario’s Steakhouse & Seafood: Begin brunch with a choice of lobster bisque, crab poblano chowder, Dario’s salad, stuffed shrimp or Akaushi meatball topped with Pomodoro sauce, or baked ricotta cheese. Followed by an exciting main course of broiled lobster tail served over red bell pepper mashed potatoes, duo filet mignon served with port wine shiitake sauce, almond-crusted snapper, a 14 oz New York strip steak, or ensemble of prime rib with poached eggs. For the grand finale, choose red velvet cheesecake, midnight chocolate cake, orange crème brulee, bread pudding a la mode, or Bailey’s tres leches. Eunice, 3737 Buffalo Speedway Suite 100, 832.491.1717: Cheers to all the moms! Cajun-Creole restaurant Eunice will offer all mothers a complimentary glass of prosecco this Mother’s Day. Families coming in to celebrate can order foodie favorites like the Shrimp & Grits with green onion sausage gravy and Three Sisters farm eggs or Drew’s Smoked Chicken & Sausage Gumbo served with okra, tasso, and popcorn rice from the brunch menu. For the special day, Eunice will be opening early at 10:30 am and closing at 8 pm.
Georgia James, 3503 W. Dallas St., 832.241.5088: The beloved Underbelly Hospitality concept will open their doors early for a one-day only brunch menu from 11 am-3 pm. Executive chef Greg Peters is whipping up a special brunch menu, featuring Strawberry Cinnamon Rolls with graham cracker schmear and cream cheese icing, House Ham Benedict with smoked trout roe, and T-Bone and Eggs with smothered hash browns. This limited-time brunch menu will also offer a Belgian Waffle with assorted fruit, chocolate syrup and whipped cream for the kids. In addition to the brunch specials, Georgia James will serve a scaled back version of their regular menu. Following brunch, Georgia James will be closing early at 3 pm.
Kin Dee, 1533 N Shepherd Dr Suite 160, 281.826.2655: Celebrate Mom this Mother’s Day at charming Heights destination, Kin Dee. On Sunday, May 14th the restaurant will feature an all-new dish called Mother of the Sea ($69); a deep-fried whole red snapper drizzled with sweet Thai chili lime sauce. The Mother’s Day menu brought you by Chef de Cuisine Felipe Botero under the leadership of Michelin-starred Chef Alain Verzeroli includes savory highlights like Poached Gulf Shrimp with cucumber herbal yogurt, Spring Pea Ravioli, Miso Glazed Cod with daikon veloute and fried maitake, and Strawberry Cheesecake Mousse with rose water gelee for dessert.
