BBVA Compass Stadium Ready for Ultimate Fan Experience with Culinary Experiences, Stadium Upgrades

Houston Dash and Houston Dynamo Set to Energize Fans with Htown “Hold It Down”

Teams to kick off 15th Season

Htown ”Hold It Down,” which originated on the streets of Houston, is setting the stage to reflect the defiant pride and collective spirit that makes H-Town great.

This unified campaign with both the Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash has the teams collaborating with a pair of Houston artists – Anat Ronen and Jesus Martinez – to create a pair of murals featuring the Hold It Down tagline. Martinez’s mural will adorn the north wall of BBVA Stadium, while Ronen’s artwork will be prominently featured on a massive wall space across the street from Minute Maid Park at the corner of Texas St. and Hamilton St.

STADIUM UPGRADES

Several upgrades range from a new sound system to enhanced security, a Sensory Room, a Mother’s Room and more including POS systems such as Apple, Samsung and Google Pay availability.

One of the most noticeable upgrades around the stadium is a new video board that is nearly two times larger than the previous one. This will help give fans better access to replays in the stadium and allow more visually fun experiences.

High-speed WiFi 6 was recently added throughout the BBVA Stadium making it the first stadium in Houston with this next-gen WiFi and the first soccer-specific stadium in America with this allowing fans to stay connected throughout the game.

The stadium is also partnering with Park Mobile for a friendly parking experience.

MEET DYNAMO COACH

Houston Dynamo named U.S. Men’s National Team legend and National Soccer Hall of Famer Tab Ramos as head coach in November 2019.

Ramos, 53, joins the Dynamo after serving as the head coach of the United States Under-20 National Team since 2011 and as the U.S. Soccer Youth Technical Director since 2013. During that time, he led the U-20s to the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2013, 2015, 2017 and 2019 and three consecutive quarterfinal appearances. He was also Assistant Coach to Jurgen Klinsmann including the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil where the U.S. team advanced to the Round of 16.

Regionally, Ramos led the United States to two consecutive titles at the Concacaf U-20 Championships, including the country’s first Concacaf U-20 title in 2017 with a win over Honduras in the final. Ramos followed that up by repeating as champion in 2018 with a 2-0 defeat of arch-rival Mexico in the final.
