Houston’s Cotidié Introduces Autumn/Winter Collection
Houston-based brand dedicated to advancing everyday clothing in the modern age with unparalleled style
Cotidié, a Houston-based brand dedicated to advancing everyday clothing into the modern age with unparalleled style, recently launched its Autumn/Winter collection.
Houston native and founder, Kristina Haag said their goal is to fill a gap by providing professional and fashionable attire that is also as comfortable as athletic and athleisure wear.
Founded on the idea of providing a solution to today’s modern frenzy, Cotidié successfully launched its first-ever collection, available exclusively online, in June 2019. Consistent from collection to collection, the brand’s garments transcend everyday settings and seasons through a collection of interchangeable staples, with clean lines and tailored silhouettes, that are functional and fashionable.

Why did you decide to venture out into the fashion industry?
I’ve always been passionate about fashion but I never dreamed I would create my own clothing line. Identifying a gap in the marketplace for fashionable and functional clothing really drove me to pursue this path. I consider myself more of an entrepreneur rather than a fashion designer.
How would you describe your clothing line and its place in women’s fashion?
Cotidié garments are intended to transcend everyday settings and seasons. Clothing should be the last thing that you have to think about as far as functionality.
With each collection, we will incorporate new styles and colors, but overall our intention is to create timeless pieces you can mix, match and layer.
We hold each collection to a Cotidié standard, meaning all pieces are comfortable, provide stretch, use moisture wicking fabrics and are machine washable.
Discuss your fabric selections, and what you like about them particularly.
All of our pieces are made with athletic technical fabrics that really move with you. We really pride ourselves on this key differentiator. LunAir is our flowiest fabric, it’s very breathable and light; SolaSmooth is an ultra-light jersey fabric that feels barely-there; StellaForm is our most elastic fabric, creating a more tailored fit.
For fall and winter, we’re incorporating new fabrics that are a bit thicker and appealing in the colder months.
These include a super soft neoprene for our sweatshirts, a new micro-modal fabric for cozy, cold weather layering garments and a more structured jersey material for our latest suit set (Lauren trousers and Charlotte blazer).
Are there any influences on your design aesthetic?
For Cotidié I’m drawn to more clean, minimalistic styles. I see our garments as seasonless clothing that will last in your wardrobe for the years to come.
Response/Feedback from your clients/customers?
So far, the feedback has been really positive! It’s one thing to touch and feel the fabrics – they’re super soft, lightweight and stretchy – but it’s not until you actually try on the pieces do you realize how incredibly comfortable and figure flattering the clothing truly is.
Future plans for the company
As of right now we are focused on developing our online presence, but we are definitely open to doing pop ups and possibly a storefront in the future.
