Houston Establishments Nominated for 13th Annual Spirited Awards
Regional Top 10 Honorees from Houston include Julep, Eight Row Flint, Better Luck Tomorrow and Coltivare
The Tales of the Cocktail Foundation has announced the regional finalists for its 13th annual Spirited Awards, and Houston has landed four nominations.
Honorees were divided into regions in the United States (East, Central and West) and International (Europe, Middle East and Africa, Asia Pacific, the Americas, Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada).
Alba Huerta’s Julep leads the way as a Regional Top 10 Honoree for Best Cocktail Bar in the United States (Central).
It is competing against four bars from Chicago including Estereo and The Aviary, along with two bars from Kansas City, Latitude 29 (New Orleans), Patterson House (Nashville) and Porco Lounge & Tiki Room (Cleveland, Ohio). This is the first time Julep has been a finalist for the award.
Other Houston nominees include Eight Row Flint, a finalist for Best High Volume Bar in the United States (Central), and Better Luck Tomorrow and Coltivare, finalists for Best Restaurant Bar in the United States (Central).
Winners will be announced during the Spirited Awards ceremony on Saturday, July 20 in New Orleans. Tickets, starting at $100, will be available June 12.
