This March, Avenida Houston presents The Rink: Rolling at Discovery Green. Houston’s first outdoor roller rink returns for a second season with a new and improved skating surface, colorful lighting and fun weekly programming.

JOIN THE KICKOFF PARTY

Discovery Green and Avenida Houston celebrate the opening of the skating rink with a Roller Rink Opening Party on Friday, March 2 from 5 to 10 p.m. Festivities include live music from Skyrocket! the Band, a demo by Roller Derby Girls and more.

Weekly Programming

Cheap Skate Nights-Mondays, March 5 and 19, 5–10 p.m.

Skate around the rink for just $8 per person (includes entry, tax and skate rental).

Time Warp Tuesdays-Tuesdays, March 6, 13 and 20, 7–9 p.m.

Skate through the decades at these fun- and music-filled nights on the rink with DJ Mohawk Steve. Costumes are encouraged!

Stayin’ Alive with the ‘70s-Tuesday, March 6

Time After Time through the ‘80s-Tuesday, March 13

Get Jiggy wit the ‘90s-Tuesday, March 20

Let the Good Times Roll Date Night-Wednesdays, March 7 and 21, 7–9 p.m.

Bring your date and skate to crowd-sourced music. Send your requests via Twitter or Instagram using #DGDJ, and that special jam just might get played!

WHERE TO GO & ADMISSION FEES

Discovery Green is located at 1500 McKinney  in downtown Houston.

The rink opens on Friday, March 2 and will be open daily through Sunday, March 25. Admission is $8 per person or $10 for the online fast past, plus $4 for skate rental. Houston First employees and GRB restaurant customers receive a $2 discount.
