RIDE Indoor Cycling hosts 5th Annual “Meaningful May” campaign for local nonprofits
Ride for a cause at all Houston and Austin locations
It’s not too late to do your part at “Meaningful May,” a RIDE Indoor Cycling, month-long event.
This annual fundraiser is geared toward raising funds for numerous local charities and is held at the popular cycling workout studios with locations in both Houston and Austin, Now in its fifth year, RIDE’s charitable Meaningful May program has raised over $75,000 to date for local charities. The first event was held shortly after opening in 2013 raising $875.
This year all four RIDE’s studios are participating including both Austin and Houston area locations. The Heights and the Woodlands will support Houston based charities each week with a donation of $1 per bike booked in their 45-minute indoor cycling workouts.
The RIDE studio in Houston’s Heights neighborhood will support Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston and RIDE’s studio in The Woodlands will support the Montgomery County Women’s Center.
Over the years Meaningful May has grown rapidly along with the RIDE community allowing RIDE and its supporters to donate to such Houston organizations like Lupus Foundation of America and Woman to Woman.
“We are excited to be working with such great and impactful charitable organizations in our communities,” said Taryn Burt, Partner, Ride Houston. “The RIDE Tribe has special connections to these charities and we are truly grateful for the opportunity to help fuel and support their missions with ‘Meaningful May.’”
Austin’s new Hill Country Galleria studio will team up with RIDE’s flagship downtown Austin location to donate $2 from each bike to Austin based charities. Each week proceeds will be donated to a different local charity near and dear to RIDE supporters.
RIDE hosts more than 100 classes per week across four studios in Austin and Houston. RIDE class schedules are posted two weeks in advance, and can be viewed at www.ride-indoorcycling.com. Classes fill up fast so booking bikes in advance is recommended.
