Being part of the Blue Plate Special is a yet another way to give back to the community.
“Tony’s is delighted to participate for the 5th year in the Blue Plate Special for such a deserving cause as the Thread Alliance,” said Tony Vallone.
Jerry Built Homegrown Burgers is including two dishes for customers to choose from for their Blue Plate Special. These include their Ernie’s Cheddar Bacon BBQ Burger and Houston Salad, two of their most popular items. Ten percent of their total sales will be donated back to The Thread Alliance.
“When we were approached by The Thread Alliance and asked if we would like to participate in this campaign by offering a dish, we said how about two!? Jerry Built is always looking for ways to make a positive impact in our communities and are excited to partner with our customers this month to help raise awareness and funds for this important cause,” said Chad Glauser, President & CEO of Jerry Built Homegrown Burger.
Kicking off this effort in late March was The Thread Alliance and Founder, Sheila Aron, who welcomed more than 50 attendees eager to end the cycle of child abuse at Taverna in the River Oaks District.
The Thread Alliance is dedicated to ending the cycle of child abuse. The Blue Plate Special is The Thread Alliance’s citywide public awareness and education campaign encouraging Houstonians to take action against child abuse and towards healing. Everyone is encouraged to help spread awareness for child abuse prevention by ordering the Blue Plate Special to help end the cycle of child abuse
