This two-part culinary event will be held at The Beacon Center at 1212 Prairie Street at 6 p.m. to benefit Houston’s homeless. Houston’s most celebrated chefs will join forces to deliver an unforgettable wine-paired, four-course dinner prepared in the kitchen that serves hundreds of Houston’s poor and homeless each day.
Chefs included in this stunning event include Randy Evans, Efisio Farris, Phillipe Gaston, Mark Holley, Manabu “Hori” Horiuchi, Hugo Ortega and Ruben Ortega, Mike Puccio, Fernando Rios, John Sheely and Claire Smith.
Trish Morille with the Come to the Table Host Committee said they are excited about the upcoming dinner. “Awareness of our mission to help the homeless has grown strong among the chef community. We are thrilled to have some of Houston’s most acclaimed chefs and restaurants participating. We have also added our own BEACON touch to the event. Since we cook all meals onsite from scratch daily, we proudly serve our famous Beacon bread and this year, Mike Puccio, Beacon Kitchen Director, will be working with Hugo Ortega on the first course,” she said.
