PLAY 60 at the Park with the Houston Texans to be held September 25 at Levy Park

Families invited to attend health and fitness activities with presenting sponsor, Texas Children’s Hospital

The Houston Texans and Texas Children’s Hospital will present PLAY 60 at the Park at Levy Park in the Upper Kirby District on Monday, Sept. 25, featuring fun-filled activities to keep children active and promote 60 minutes of exercise a day . The event, scheduled from 4 – 7 p.m., is free and open to the public.

When guests check in upon arrival, children will receive a PLAY 60 at the Park Activity Passport, which will be used to log all physical activities, such as Hula Hoops, Touchdown Celebration, Fuel Up to Play 60 and Texans Says. Completed Activity Passports will be entered into a drawing to win two tickets to the Oct. 1 Texans vs. Titans Kids Day game presented by Texas Children’s Hospital.

Participants will also be able to interact with a Houston Texans football player, Houston Texans mascot TORO, Houston Texans Cheerleaders and Texans Ambassadors. Included in the activities are active games, a photo booth, face painting, Zumba and more.

Complimentary snacks and water will be provided by H-E-B, and Dairy Max, promoting Fuel Up to Play 60, will provide milk for attendees.  Food trucks will also be on-site for guests to purchase nutritional food options.

Levy Park is located south of Richmond Avenue between Kirby Drive and Buffalo Speedway. Parking for the event is available on Eastside Street, Wakeforest Avenue and in the Kirby Grove office building garage at the corner of Richmond and Wakeforest. A $1 every 30 minutes fee (cash or credit card) will apply to park in the garage.
