Hotel Granduca—The Italian-inspired hotel, which recently re-introduced its opulent Sunday Brunch menu, will offer a buffet-style brunch for Mother’s Day. The menu will feature a diverse array of dishes, including a Chef’s carving station featuring everything from Sage & Wild Honey Turkey accompanied by Chardonnay Gravy and Orange Cranberry Peppercorn Chutney and Prime Rib with Baby Brioche Rolls and Community Grains Polenta to Plum Ginger Roasted Ham and Herb-crusted Leg of Lamb. Houstonians can also treat Mom to an early Mother’s Day experience at Hotel Granduca’s monthly supper club event, Cafe Rialto on Saturday, May 12 at 7:30 pm. Stationed in the hotel’s elegant Salone Rialto, the evening of food, music, and dancing features a four-course prix fixe menu showcasing everything from Pan Seared Branzino to Beef Tenderloin with Porcini Mushrooms and Scallop Potatoes. Attendees can enjoy the standard Ristorante Cavour menu, or opt for the prix fixe dining option (priced at $50 per person). An optional wine pairing will also be available for $40 + Tax and Gratuity. Roka Akor –Go for a Japanese twist this Mother’s Day with a five-course menu at upscale steak, seafood, and sushi restaurant Roka Akor. The eatery will offer a special prix fixe lunch menu from 11 am to 3:30 pm for $68, which will feature Japanese-inspired dishes such as Yuzu Miso Marinated Black Cod, Charred Heirloom Tomato Salad with Black Garlic Dressing, and Snake River Farm Wagyu Filet accompanied by Chili Ginger Sauce. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle invites you to celebrate Mom on Sunday, May 13 with an elevated brunch experience at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in the Galleria. Featured items include Prime Rib (16oz. for $45/ 20oz. for $55), Lobster Benedict and Filet Benedict (both available for $46), and the full menu will also be available for those interested in dining on signature dishes and award-winning wine selections.
