Winemakers, Keith and Chelli Webster, both have a history in the industry driving their desire to producing their unique flavors.

Keith, a former Houstonian for 27 years, found himself introduced to Napa Valley in the mid to late 1980s at a specialty foods conference, and prior to that he had met Jed Steele, the founding winemaker at Kendall Jackson, at an event in Houston. After a visit to California vineyards, it would be more than 20 years before he even began making home wine.

While in Houston, Keith ran a general contracting business and later moved to Aspen, Colorado for the next 10 years. It was here that he began to consider seriously making wine. He dove in with grapes sourced from Paonia, Colorado, and officially became a winemaker kicking off Webster Cellars in 2009.

Today, Keith and Chelli, a Napa native who has a very long familial history in the industry, continue to make an impact with their wines, which are distributed in Texas and Colorado.

According to their website, their 2013 Right Bank, at 93 points, is nearly sold out, and the 2013 Left Bank, Napa Valley, a blend of 60 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, 20 percent Merlot and 15 percent, Petit Verdot and five percent Cabernet Franc blend, rated 92 points. The 2013 Reserve, at 94 points, is also nearly sold out.

They’ve recently released the 2016 Sauvignon Blanc, Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County.
